Jenny is a Breast, Thyroid and General Surgeon who works at Middlemore Hospital, in Auckland. Her portfolio in the department is to look after the House Surgeons. She is part of the pastoral care team in General Surgery at Middlemore Hospital, which is committed to looking after the health and well being of the staff in General Surgery.
Operating with Respect (OWR), is the course that the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, RACS, put together in response to the finding of the EAG (Expert Advisory Group) about bullying, discrimination and harassment within the surgical fraternity. Jenny is an instructor on this course and is also on the OWR committee for the RACS.
Jenny spent 6 years working in two mission hospitals in Arusha, Tanzania as a surgeon. She is married with 4 pre-teen children.
