An invitation from ANZCA New Zealand National Committee Chair, and NZSA President.

Take on the challenge: Face the future

What does the future hold for our specialty and the fast-changing world of medicine? This year’s Anaesthesia Annual Scientific Meeting will encourage you to reflecton, and embrace change, pushing you out of your comfort zone.

Experts from New Zealand and abroad will explore the ASM’s theme of “Face the Future” in their presentations, highlighting why our specialty is renowned for its research and innovation.

The New Zealand National Committee (NZNC) of the Australian and New Zealand Collegeof Anaesthetists (ANZCA) and the New Zealand Society of Anaesthetists (NZSA) are proud to be jointly hosting the 2018 NZ Anaesthesia ASM in Auckland.

An engaging line-up of speakers and workshops will provide up-to-date, thought-provoking content.  Convener Dr Craig Birch and the dedicated organising committee from Middlemore Hospital, have pulled out all the stops to deliver a diverse, and topical range of talks and workshops such as – climate change, medicinal marijuana, health inequality, and conspiracy versus science.

The ASM is also an ideal platform to meet with colleagues from New Zealand and around the world.  Auckland, the social hub of New Zealand, is an exciting and dynamic destination for relaxing and socialising – check out the social program for the full list of events.

The conference will also showcase the healthcare industry and how it can benefit your practice and the care of your patients.  We encourage you to visit the exhibitor stands to find out what’s on offer today and into the future.

The NZASM has built its reputation over the years as a ‘must do’ event. We look forward to welcoming you to Auckland (November 8-10) for what will be a truly memorable meeting.
