Social Program

Social Program

Please ensure you indicate below whether you would like a ticket to a social function during the online registration process. We are required to give final numbers in advance, and may not be able to accommodate your request for tickets if you register at the conference. Please check your registration confirmation carefully and ensure your selections are correct.

Celebrate our industry partners, relax and unwind in the first full conference social event of the ASM. Reconnect with industry exhibitors and colleagues, and reflect on day one of conference in the majestic Dunedin Town Hall. Tickets are included in full delegate registration fee, and $45 for partners/day delegates.

You are invited to enjoy a sumptuous menu curated by our surroundings whilst you explore the museum’s interactive science centre, dance to the band in the atrium, mingle amongst the butterflies or relax with a signature cocktail in the beautiful science gallery. Not your standard sit-down gala dinner (but seating will be available throughout). Dress Code: Formal with a wild twist. Throw on your feather boa, dust off your faux fur coat! Got a leopard print tie your significant other won't let you wear? This is it's night! If weather inclement, return shuttle transfers will be provided from the conference hotels. Tickets: Included in full delegate registration fee, and $120 for partners/day delegates.

Why Not Extend Your Stay in Dunedin?

As well as the plethora of options available in Dunedin, the Local Organising Committee are seeking expressions of interest for group surfing, mountain biking, or brewery tours on Saturday afternoon.  Let us know if you are interested during the online registration process, and arrange your flights and accommodation accordingly to stay an extra night (or two)!

Dunedin is a mountain biker’s playground and single track trails can be found in every direction. Year-round the city is perfect for mountain biking, with hillside tracks to suit all abilities, winding through beautiful native and exotic forests.

Dunedin is often called a ‘cold water Bali’. Sure, you’ll be covered head-to-toe in thick rubber instead of board shorts, but other than that there are genuine similarities. Dunedin has some 30 beaches within 30 minutes’ drive of the city centre, and most have great surf.

A behind the scenes look at Emersons Brewery. You'll go through the full process - from brewing to packaging, before finishing with a guided beer tasting of our 6 most defining beers.
