We are delighted to welcome Professor Bruce Biccard, the Nuffield Professor of Anaesthetic Science at the University of Oxford, to the Aotearoa NZ Anaesthesia ASM international keynote speaker line-up!

Prof Biccard will join us in both the opening and closing plenaries to deliver his two talks:

  • Clinical importance versus statistical significance

The talks delve into some of his research interests in perioperative medicine, perioperative outcomes and global surgery.

He is the co-lead for the NIHR Global Health Group on Perioperative and Critical Care and a National Research Foundation (NRF) A-Rated Scientist.

He is also the author and publisher of his book Safer Surgery for Africa: Challenges and Solutions.
